Our New Place

Jumping back a bit to when we moved in last November.. While our apartment in KC was fabulous for it's own very special reasons, and could have been even greater had things been different, I think it's safe to say our current digs are the best we've lived in yet.. Bedrooms here are smaller - significantly, in Ethan's case - and the architecture isn't nearly as gorgeous - just your standard 21st century contractor's faire - BUT we actually have heat available to all the rooms in the house, more storage than before, a master bathroom, and the kitchen.. the kitchen... the kitchen...  Take a peek...

it's so delicious!

Ethan's Room

there wasn't enough space in his room for his dresser, so we moved it to our room and got a snazzy organizer for his closet..
nothing like service with a smile.. straight to your doorstep..

So that's it in a nutshell.. I don't have any other photos with furniture or anything, and looking at an empty bedroom or living room is just plain boring.. But we like our 3 bedroom townhouse - especially since it's more like a house than an apartment - and we're certainly happy to be here..

The ward is nice, too.. Very transitory due to our location - it's made up of 3 different apartment complexes that don't even span a full block - and the building is about 2 blocks away, so we're looking forward to walking once it gets warmer..  :)  After being here about a month and a half, they called us to be Primary workers teaching the 8-9 year olds, so that's been fun.. Our class is small - 3 girls, and it's rarely the same 3 - but we have a good time, nonetheless.. About the time we started teaching, Ethan finally adjusted to going to nursery by himself again - he had a bit of a hard time with separation anxiety and Alec being away from him during church, so he'd always come find us in Sunday school, which was a bit frustrating.. But now everything has settled down, so we're all feeling much better about the whole situation.. and we are super happy to be able to spend the whole block together {Alec & I} doesn't get much better than that, does it?

{Oh yeah - for those of you reading via reader, I've updated the look of the blog with some new family photos - courtesy of my sister over Christmas - so come take a look..}

3 things to say...:

It looks great. Your old place did have some amazing architecture though. I guess you just find the good no matter where you are.
