A Look Back in Time
Alec's dad was cleaning out his office and found an old project of Alec's that he scanned and sent us. I thought some of the pictures were so great, I just had to share. Enjoy!

Ethan's Teeth
I mentioned before that Ethan has two teethies, and that we were having a hard time getting him to hold still to take a picture. Well Alec succeeded, and here it is - on a scrapbook page, of course! ;)

City Market
Well, we went today, and it was really fun! There were so many people, and so many vendors, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but we had a good time... and it wasn't too hot or too muggy, either. Here are some pictures of the day:
The neighborhood around the market...
You'd never guess this was right in the middle of downtown - right by the river...

Spices, anyone?
There's also a more "commercial" vendor where restaurants, or stores, or whomever can get produce. Their selection, quality and pricing puts any grocery store to shame... $1 for a cantaloupe?!?

Is it Art?
First off, I feel I have severely neglected this blog because I've been spending so much time on my scrapbooking stuff. But I'm learning a lot; I even set up my own non-blog-based website to sell from (with a whopping 3 sales totaling $11.25 - go me!) And Photoshop has become my new best friend. However, there are other things going on in our lives that you may - or may not - be interested in... which is why I'm posting twice today.
On Saturday we were all hyped up to go to the City Market - a farmer's market right in the middle of downtown that's open year-round. However, despite the fact that they're open every weekend rain or shine, when we woke up to rain, we didn't think it would be a whole lot of fun to trek around in it with Ethan... This made me very sad... :( I have been working pretty regularly - at least 3 days a week - but I'm still getting a little stir-crazy and was really looking forward to a day out of the house...with my family.... So, what's the next best thing? The art museum, of course!
Alec and I have been talking about going ever since we moved here (it will be a year ago this week) and have still never made it... So we went. It was pretty cool... Of course it's huge and we only spent about 2 hours, so there will definitely be another trip. Here are some pictures from the day:

He Knows What He Wants
Ethan is so silly sometimes, and we find ourselves completely surprised at how quickly he is growing into a "real" person. His latest quirk is that he always wants a big person glass. Whenever he sees us drinking out of one, he'll steal it away and have a swig... leaving behind all sorts of yummy slobber and who knows what else... Here is a video of one of his escapades: You can't really hear us say it, but we bring attention to the fact that he does have is own sippy cup right there next to him, but that just wasn't good enough. Oh well...
Also - I don't remember if we mentioned it or not in the video, but Ethan has teeth! Finally something to make all the sleepless nights and grouchy baby worth it! The TWO bottom teeth came in last Sunday, and we have all been a lot happier since then. I'll post a picture as soon as I can get one. He's a wriggly one, and just not suited for that type of close-up, yet.

First Foods
I really like the template I used for Ethan's six-month page, so I thought I'd try something else with it.... [I won't stoop to calling attention to the Alphabet Soup items that I used...] ;) I think it turned out pretty cute!
