We Cheated...
Well - we just couldn't wait any longer. Ethan has been so angry at us the last week or so for not sharing our meals with him that we decided to rebel. His pediatrician was very emphatic that he not be given solid foods until he was six months old. Well, if these last 4 days were crucial to his digestive development, I'm sorry and I guess we screwed him up already. Here's a video of his first "real" food.

Crib Etiquette
Ethan is so silly. Apparently he's been hearing everyone say how tall he is and has decided he doesn't want to be tall. His solution: stunting his growth by sleeping sideways in his crib. You'll notice he has to scrunch his legs up in order to fit. Such a silly baby!

Alphabet Soup

So - this new hobby that I love (digital scrapbooking) has kind of taken over my life... and I've decided to give myself the challenge of making my own kit! And one week - and 10 hours of work - later... I have! I got the inspiration from Ethan's crib set, so I think it's pretty cute and fun - and usable for things other than just baby. For those of you who are interested, please download and leave me some comments on what you think - should I change things, is there something you wish was included that isn't, does it suck, etc. There may come a time in life where I venture into the world of selling these - maybe - and I wouldn't want to embarrass myself with poor quality work... and I trust you people, so let me know. :) Click on the picture to download. **Password is soup.**
Here is a sample page I made with the kit. Everything you see here, I made... baby included... ;)

And on to my next thought... whether or not I actually sell these, I do think I'll keep creating them for at least a little while. And I'd like to start a scrapbooking blog to make them available to a larger number of people - if anyone out there is even interested... But since I'm so incredibly bad with names - I'm enlisting your wise and clever minds to help me out. Some that I like (although already taken) for their brevity and wit are: "Digitreats" and "A Work in Progress." Some that I don't because I think it's tacky are: "Scraporoni with Toni" and "Scraptacular." Below I've listed some ideas and sort of where they came from... please vote at the poll on your right, or leave your own suggestion in a comment.
- Digital Retreat - because this new hobby is sort of an escape for me... however, whenever I hear the word "retreat" I think of green and red plaid and hunting parties... don't ask...
- Sleepless Obsession - because that is what it's become. I stay up WAY past my bedtime, then I can't sleep because all I can think of is color palettes, and new ways to manipulate Photoshop.
- Pea Soup - crazy in = crazy out
- Digital Intervention - keeping me sane one layout at a time
- Stolen Moments - reflecting the time we spend actually scrapbooking, as well as the moments of time captured by our photographs....
- I guess I could also call it Alphabet Soup after my first kit...
